What have I signed up for?


I joined the 12 WBT to loose weight.  I didn't know that I would actually be confronted with so many challenges.  This is just what I needed a real mental shake up!


Task 1 - Get Real - NO MORE EXCUSES 

So here I am sitting on the couch this morning thinking about how great it is to rest and smiling because of it. I am lucky to have challenged myself a month ago before starting the 12 WBT. I didn't realise though that I had already tackled some if my excuses, but listening to Michelle in this task made me realise I still have a long way to go. 

Lets look at my excuses;

I don't need to be thin to be happy
It's way too hot up here to exercise 
I can't afford to go to the gym 
I have 3 kids and no babysitter 
I have a newborn baby now! 
I'm too big I will just hurt myself 
I don't have time I'm a shift worker
I had surgery not long ago
I don't get enough sleep
I have no energy
I don't own a pair of runners
My pool is too small to do laps
It's not fair that my partner has to look after kids while I go out to exercise 
It's not safe to walk around my neighbour hood by myself 
I love food why should I stop eating what I love 
I'm just not an exercise person that not me
I don't have any comfortable clothes to go walking in 
Oh no I'm too fat to run! 
I don't want to be the only fat person at the gym 
My butt doesn't even fit on that bike seat
I can't sit down to have dinner with the kids and eat salad.
It's raining cant go out in the rain
I have bad knees
I've had 3 c-sections
It's too late my skin is so stretched I may as well fill it out!
I feel sick :( 

Oh man there are so many excuses. Tackling these excuses one by one is a challenge and this is task 1 :( working through it :) 

Like I said I walk out that door everyday regardless of which excuse comes up for the day. It's surprising they still come up everyday but its what I choose to do about them is what matters. So what am I doing about it?

I am taking responsibility for my actions! One step at a time 



Task 2 - Take Control - Set Your Goals

30kg to loose that's seems to hard to even think about, or maybe not.

Let's Break it up :)

1 Months goals : Lose 4kg
Run 3km without stopping

3 Month goals : Loose 12kg run 5km without stopping

6 Month goals : Loose 24kg run 10km without stopping

12 Month goals : Lost the 30kg and concentrating on strength training
Running a half marathon

Lets get going!

Wow what a crazy few weeks it has been I have worked my way through the pre-session tasks one by one.  There has been ups and downs let me tell you. 

This is the most rewarding program I have done.  Well its the first program I have done, however what a great choice I made.  Thanks to Michelle and her 12 Week Body Transformation I am on a successful path to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
